Commercial growers and home gardeners should both use
a sharp knife to harvest flowers. We
recommend that you remove all lower foliage as not to leave any below the
water line. Foliage is
attractive but it deprives blooms from important hydration.
Especially with flowers such as lilacs and astilbe that have a hard
time drinking water. Always
use a clean vase filled with warm to hot water.
Use a floral preservative that is available from Engwall Florist.
Cut bulb flowers are the only exception, these stems do not require
a preservative.
As you design your flowers, always give stems a fresh
cut before placing them in the vase.
Let flowers drink for a couple of hours before refrigeration.
Refrigeration is recommended for added longevity.

Engwall Florist’s talented designers
offer you a variety of seasonal, everyday or holiday custom designs.
You may choose from traditional designs, garden style, or modern
contemporary designs. If you
see it in a magazine, bring in a picture and we can do it.
We use the freshest flowers available and our buying power allows
us to carry a wide variety. Special orders are never a problem with seasonal requests.
We shop for our roses for their brilliance, variety and lasting
quality. Whatever you choose
